Space agencies and companies headquartered in Russia, together with the historical Soviet era bodies whose lineage runs directly into them, such as the Soviet space program itself and Interkosmos, its international cooperation program, both based in Moscow and succeeded institutionally by modern Russian organisations. The group is led by Roscosmos, the state space corporation, alongside major design bureaus and manufacturers including the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, the Progress Rocket Space Centre, Information Satellite Systems Reshetnev and Glavkosmos, Roscosmos's commercial and international arm.
