Mir spans the 1991 handover: operated first under the Soviet space program from its 1986 launch, then by Russia's Roscosmos (renamed from the Russian Federal Space Agency in 2015) after the Soviet Union's December 1991 dissolution, through deorbit in 2001. This link is kept and names the post-1991 operator; a separate operated-by link to the Soviet space program names the pre-1991 one.
