IQPS, short for Institute for Qshu Pioneers of Space, is a Japanese satellite manufacturer and operator founded in 2005 by Tetsuo Yasaka, Noboru Sakurai and Kunihiro Funakoshi as a spin off from Kyushu University, headquartered in Fukuoka. The company builds and operates small satellites equipped with synthetic aperture radar for near real time Earth observation, part of a planned QPS-SAR constellation intended to reach 36 satellites able to observe almost any point on the globe at an average interval of ten minutes. The first satellite, QPS-SAR number one named Izanagi, launched in December 2019, and by September 2025 the company operated seven functioning radar satellites in orbit, having listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in December 2023.
