Enpulsion is an Austrian company that manufactures electric propulsion systems for small satellites, based near Vienna Airport in Austria and founded in 2016. Its NANO thruster line uses Field Emission Electric Propulsion, known as FEEP, technology that channels positive ions from liquid metal emitters to produce thrust, built on more than thirty years of FEEP research carried out by the Austrian research institute FOTEC in cooperation with the European Space Agency. The company introduced a high rate production system intended to scale to the output levels needed for mega constellations and was ISO 9001:2015 certified as of December 2019.
