Axelspace is a Japanese space venture company headquartered in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, where more than 200 professionals pursue innovation in microsatellite technology and business. The company traces its origins to 2003, when the team who would go on to found it, then university students, launched Japan's own first one-kilogram microsatellite; the company itself was established in 2008. Axelspace has since developed and operated 18 microsatellites, offering the one-stop microsatellite service AxelLiner and the AxelGlobe earth observation platform.
