Astronauts representing a nation with too small a spaceflight roster in this atlas to warrant its own subcategory, who flew as an invited guest aboard another nation's spacecraft, most through the Soviet Union's Intercosmos program and its successors but also including guest flyers hosted by NASA and the Soviet-Austrian Austromir program. Belongs here: an astronaut whose defining flight was a guest seat representing their home nation rather than a career posting in that nation's own corps, including Cuba, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Syria, Vietnam, Czechoslovakia, Austria, India, Israel, East Germany and the Netherlands as represented in this atlas. Does not belong here: a career astronaut of a nation large enough to carry its own subcategory here, or a private spaceflight participant with no national sponsorship, grouped under Private Spaceflight Participants.
