Tianzhou is the uncrewed cargo spacecraft of the China National Space Administration, developed to resupply Chinese space stations with fuel, equipment and other supplies. Its first flight, Tianzhou 1, launched in April 2017 and docked with the Tiangong 2 space laboratory, and later Tianzhou vehicles have continued to resupply the larger Tiangong space station. The spacecraft is roughly comparable in role to Russia Progress and the commercial American Cygnus cargo spacecraft, and it can be deliberately deorbited to burn up in the atmosphere after its cargo is no longer needed.
