Soviet Space Shuttle Orbiters

Reusable winged orbiters of the Soviet and Russian Buran programme, a spaceplane system similar in design to the American Space Shuttle that was launched on the expendable Energia rocket and flew once without a crew. An orbiter belongs here when its cited source calls it the Buran spacecraft or a Buran-class orbiter, a flight article of that programme. The orbiters of NASA, the Space Shuttle fleet that flew crews to orbit for decades, have a group of their own in this subcategory.
