Retired and Planned Space Stations

Space stations that are not part of the permanently crewed stations now in orbit, covering stations that finished their service, such as Salyut 1, the first space station in history, launched by the Soviet Union in 1971, and stations still being designed, such as the Bharatiya Antariksh Station that India plans to build and run through its space agency. A station belongs here when its cited source calls it a retired, historical or planned space station. The permanently crewed stations and the modules of the International Space Station have groups of their own.
