Carnegie Science, also known as Carnegie Institution for Science and formerly the Carnegie Institution of Washington, is an independent, nonprofit organization established in 1902 to fund and perform scientific research. The institution is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Its three interdisciplinary scientific divisions focus on life and environmental science, Earth and planetary science, and astronomy and astrophysics. In 2024, expenses for scientific programs and administration totaled approximately $110 million.
