The Marshall Space Flight Center, officially the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center and known as MSFC, is located at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama with a Huntsville postal address, and is the United States government civilian rocketry and spacecraft propulsion research center. It is the largest NASA center, and its first mission was developing the Saturn launch vehicles for the Apollo program. It was formed on July 1, 1960.
