Safran

Safran is a French multinational aerospace, defence and security corporation headquartered in Paris, formed on May 11, 2005 through the merger of the engine manufacturer Snecma and the electronics specialist Sagem. The company designs and manufactures commercial and military aircraft engines along with launch vehicle, spacecraft and missile propulsion systems through its aerospace propulsion division, and it holds a fifty percent stake in ArianeGroup, which produces solid rocket motors for European space launchers, having also partnered with Airbus through the Airbus Safran Launchers joint venture to develop the Ariane 6 launch vehicle.
