Dark was a space company based in Paris, France, specialized in space security and protection, founded in 2021. Its work centered on developing an air launched rocket named Interceptor, intended to capture space debris or spy satellites after being released from an aircraft in flight and deploying payloads of up to 300 kilograms into low Earth orbit. The company raised more than 11 million dollars to develop the Interceptor platform and signed a partnership agreement with Bordeaux Airport in 2023, with a first launch planned for 2026, but it announced on October 8, 2025 that it was ceasing its activities.
