Satrec Initiative

Satrec Initiative is a South Korean aerospace firm headquartered in Daejeon, founded on December 29, 1999 by engineers who had previously developed KITSAT-1, the first Korean satellite, at the Satellite Technology Research Center of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. The company designs and manufactures Earth observation satellites under its SpaceEye product line and supplies space components including high resolution electro optical payloads and star trackers, and its first satellite, the Malaysian Earth observation platform RazakSAT, launched in 2009; it now also operates the subsidiaries SI Imaging Services and SI Analytics.
