Japan Space Systems, JSS, is a Japanese space organization founded in 2012 through the merger of three previously independent bodies, the Institute for Unmanned Space Experiment Free Flyer, the Earth Remote Sensing Data Analysis Center, and the Japan Resources Observation System Organization. JSS specializes in the development and application of earth observation satellites and satellite navigation, and has collaborated with other national and international space agencies including NASA and the International Space Station programme.
