The Romanian Space Agency, known as ROSA, is a public institution that coordinates the national space technology program of Romania, established in 1991 and subordinate to the Romanian Ministry of Education. ROSA is not a representative of the Romanian Government but establishes cooperative agreements with international organizations such as the European Space Agency and the Committee on Space Research, and alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it represents Romania at the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space and its subcommittees, while also conducting research projects through its own ROSA Research Center.
