Leonid Kizim was a Soviet cosmonaut who commanded three long-duration missions to Salyut and Mir space stations during the 1980s, including a 1984 mission lasting nearly 237 days, a duration record at the time. Across his career he performed numerous spacewalks and helped oversee some of the earliest module additions and construction work on Soviet space stations.
