A Dutch array of fourteen 25-meter radio dishes laid out in a line near the village of Westerbork, completed in 1970 as one of the first major aperture-synthesis radio telescopes in the world. It remains an active research instrument and a technical testbed for the wider LOFAR and Square Kilometre Array programs.
