An astronomical observatory at 2,750 meters in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, run by Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakesh and home to roughly 250 clear nights a year in a semi-desert setting. It hosts the Morocco Oukaimeden Sky Survey for small Solar System bodies and the TRAPPIST-North telescope, operated remotely from Liege, Belgium, whose twin instrument at Chile's La Silla Observatory contributed to the 2016 discovery of the TRAPPIST-1 planetary system.
