A European Space Agency space telescope launched in 2019, its name short for CHaracterising ExOPlanet Satellite, dedicated to precisely measuring the sizes of already-known exoplanets by observing them transit their host stars. Its measurements help determine whether a given exoplanet is rocky, gaseous or something in between.
