Walter Villadei

Walter Villadei is an Italian Air Force officer and astronaut, a graduate of the Academy of the Italian Air Force in Pozzuoli who holds a masters degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Naples Federico II and a specialization in astronautical engineering from the University of Rome, and who trained as a cosmonaut in Russia. He first flew to space in June 2023 on the Virgin Galactic Galactic 01 mission, then spent eighteen days aboard the International Space Station in January and February 2024 as part of Axiom Mission 3.
