Messier 93, also known as M93 or NGC 2447, is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Puppis, discovered by Charles Messier in 1781. It lies roughly 3,600 light-years from Earth, holds around 80 identified member stars, and its brighter stars have been described as forming a rough triangular or fan-like pattern.
