Messier 90, also known as M90 or NGC 4569, is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Virgo and a member of the Virgo Cluster, discovered by Charles Messier in 1781. It lies roughly 58.7 million light-years from Earth and is one of the few galaxies in the Virgo Cluster showing a blueshift rather than a redshift, indicating it is moving toward the Milky Way, likely as a result of its own high-velocity orbit through the cluster.
