Messier 75, also known as M75 or NGC 6864, is a globular cluster of stars in the constellation Sagittarius, discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1780. It lies roughly 67,500 light-years from Earth and is one of the more densely concentrated globular clusters in Charles Messier's catalogue, with its stars packed tightly enough toward the center that individual members are difficult to resolve.
