Caldwell 7, also known as NGC 2403, is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis, discovered by William Herschel in 1788. It is a member of the M81 Group of galaxies, lies roughly 8 million light-years from Earth, and contains numerous bright star-forming regions, having hosted several supernovae observed from Earth.
