Caldwell 25, also known as NGC 2419 or the Intergalactic Wanderer, is a globular cluster in the constellation Lynx, discovered by William Herschel in 1788. It lies roughly 275,000 to 300,000 light-years from Earth, making it one of the most distant globular clusters associated with the Milky Way, a remoteness that gave rise to its popular nickname before its bound orbit around the galaxy was better understood.
