York Space Systems

York Space Systems is an American aerospace company headquartered in Denver, Colorado, founded in 2012 by aerospace engineer Dirk Wallinger to build standardized, low cost small satellite platforms rather than a custom built spacecraft for every mission. The company manufactures satellite buses it calls the S-CLASS and LX-CLASS platforms and operates a dedicated manufacturing complex in Denver built for rapid, repeatable production. York has built satellites for the United States Space Development Agency constellation program, including a batch of 21 satellites delivered for that network, and in May 2025 the company was selected by the United States Space Force for an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract worth up to 237 million dollars to supply small satellites for national security missions.
