Sidereus Space Dynamics was an Italian aerospace company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Salerno by Mattia Barbarossa, Luca Principi and Massimiliano Masciarelli. The company developed EOS, a fully reusable single-stage-to-orbit launch vehicle just 4.2 metres tall designed to fit inside a standard shipping container so it could be deployed from almost anywhere in the world, intended to carry payloads of about 13 kilograms to low Earth orbit and recover under a parafoil. Sidereus raised more than 6.6 million euros in funding and completed its first fully integrated EOS static-fire test in June 2024, but the company later concluded its research and development program in Italy and Europe and ended operations there, seeking industrial partners to acquire its technology and assets.
