The National Space Research and Development Agency, known as NASRDA, is the national space agency of Nigeria, a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology based in the Lugbe district of the capital city Abuja. It has cooperated on space technology with the United Kingdom, China, Ukraine and Russia, and despite financial difficulties and some rundown facilities it is regarded as one of the most advanced space agencies in Africa, operating four satellites whose high resolution images have been praised. NASRDA hosts one of the Regional Support Offices of the United Nations program UN-SPIDER in Africa.

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) was formally established on the 5th of May 1999 by the Federal Government of Nigeria following the approval of the National Space Policy and Programmes by president Olusegun Obasanjo and the Nigerian government with a primary objective of establishing a "fundamental policy for the development of space science and technology" with an initial budget of $93 million.
