Myriota

Myriota is an Adelaide based satellite communications company founded in 2015 as a spin-out from the University of South Australia, providing low cost, low power satellite connectivity for Internet of Things sensors in locations not served by cellular networks. Its technology serves customers in agriculture, logistics, mining and environmental conservation, as well as government agencies overseeing water management, border security and rail and road infrastructure. Myriota has received a 25 million dollar investment from the Australian government National Reconstruction Fund and, with support from the Australian Space Agency Moon to Mars initiative, is developing a low cost satellite payload intended to extend its Internet of Things service to the Moon.
