The ISRO Propulsion Complex, known as IPRC, is a facility of the Indian Space Research Organisation located near Panagudi in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, that tests, assembles and integrates the propulsion systems and stages developed by ISRO Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre. It was elevated to an independent centre and given its current name on 1 February 2014, having previously been part of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre. IPRC has been described as functioning like India own Jet Propulsion Laboratory, since all of ISRO liquid, cryogenic and semicryogenic engine and stage tests take place there, including motor assembly, sea level and high altitude engine testing and flight stage integration for the PSLV and GSLV launch vehicles.
