Institute for Space Applications and Remote Sensing

The Institute for Space Applications and Remote Sensing, ISARS, was a research institute in Greece with expertise across space and environmental sciences, operating as an independent institute of the National Observatory of Athens. In 2012 it was merged with the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics to form a single body, the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing. Its member scientists worked broadly across space science and Earth observation, collaborating with research groups across Europe and the United States.
