The Hungarian Space Research Office, known as HSO, is the official Government of Hungary agency responsible for the civilian space program as well as aeronautics and aerospace research, integrated into the Ministry of National Development in 2018, coordinating Hungarian space exploration related activities across both national programs and programs of the European Space Agency, of which Hungary is a member state. The Hungarian government established the office in January 1992, and in 2003 it signed the ECS Agreement with the European Space Agency to become a cooperative state before becoming a full part of the agency, signing on 24 February 2015 and depositing ratification on 4 November 2015.
