The National Space Research and Development Agency, known as NASRDA, is the national space agency of Nigeria, a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology based in the Lugbe district of the capital city Abuja. It has cooperated on space technology with the United Kingdom, China, Ukraine and Russia, and despite financial difficulties and some rundown facilities it is regarded as one of the most advanced space agencies in Africa, operating four satellites whose high resolution images have been praised. NASRDA hosts one of the Regional Support Offices of the United Nations program UN-SPIDER in Africa.

How is Nigeria's space agency organized outside its Abuja headquarters?
NASRDA runs specialized centres across Nigeria, such as those for basic space science, remote sensing, satellite technology and space transport.
NASRDA works through a network of specialized centres spread across Nigeria, each with its own mandate, rather than from a single site. Examples named by the agency's own network include the Centre for Basic Space Science in Nsukka, the National Centre for Remote Sensing in Jos, the Centre for Satellite Technology Development in Abuja, the Centre for Geodesy and Geodynamics in Toro, the Centre for Space Transport and Propulsion in Epe, and the Centre for Atmospheric Research in Anyigba.
