ExPace is a Chinese state-owned aerospace company headquartered in Wuhan, Hubei, that develops and operates small satellite launch vehicles for commercial space launch services. Founded in February 2016, it functions as the commercial rocket division of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and operates from the Wuhan National Space Industry Base. ExPace Kuaizhou family of launch vehicles use solid rocket motors that do not require pre-launch fueling; development of the Kuaizhou rockets began in 2009 and the first launch took place in September 2013, though the Kuaizhou-11 suffered a launch failure on 10 July 2020. The company competes with other Chinese commercial launch providers including LandSpace and Galactic Energy and charges roughly 10,000 dollars per kilogram for launch services.
