Equatorial Launch Australia, known as ELA, was an Australian company founded by Scott Wallis in 2016 that owned and operated the Arnhem Space Centre, a commercially owned, multi-user equatorial launch site on the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory. The site supported sub-orbital and small orbital launches and, on 27 June 2022, hosted NASA first sounding rocket launch from a commercial spaceport outside the United States. After lease negotiations with the Northern Territory government failed, the company announced in December 2024 that it would cease operations at Arnhem and relocate to Queensland, and it entered liquidation in March 2026, owing the Northern Territory government about five million dollars.
