Denel Spaceteq is a South African space engineering company that became operational on July 1, 2013 as a newly formed space engineering business unit of the state defense group Denel, following the incorporation of the satellite manufacturer SunSpace into the Denel Group that same month. Denel Spaceteq operates as a business unit within Denel Dynamics, a division of Denel SOC Ltd, specializes in satellite and space mission control design and development, and developed the multispectral high resolution Earth observation satellite EO-Sat1, intended for operation by the South African National Space Agency.
