CONAE

CONAE, the Comision Nacional de Actividades Espaciales, is the national space agency of Argentina, formed on 28 May 1991 and operating under the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is the sole government body responsible for designing, executing and administering the country space projects, focused on satellite missions, space technology development and the application of satellite data for scientific, educational and productive purposes. CONAE has placed four satellites in orbit under its SAC program, SAC-B, SAC-A, SAC-C and SAC-D/Aquarius, alongside its SAOCOM and SARE satellite series, operating its missions from a space center in the province of Cordoba, and it serves as the thirteenth UN-SPIDER Regional Support Office supporting the development of space capacities across Latin America and the Caribbean.
