ArianeGroup

ArianeGroup, formerly Airbus Safran Launchers, is an aerospace company headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux near Paris, France, formed in 2015 as a joint venture between Airbus and Safran. The company developed the next-generation Ariane 6 launch vehicle, which succeeded the long-serving Ariane 5 rocket and first launched on 9 July 2024, offering variants capable of carrying between about 10,350 and 21,650 kilograms to orbit. ArianeGroup manufactures the launch vehicles while its subsidiary Arianespace acts as launch service provider, another subsidiary, ArianeWorks, develops next-generation technologies such as the reusable Themis rocket booster, and the company also manufactures France's M51 submarine-launched ballistic missile. Its principal sites are in France, with further facilities in Germany.
