The Bolivian Space Agency, ABE, is the national space agency of Bolivia, established in 2010 to develop and implement communications satellite programs and other space projects. On 20 December 2013 the agency oversaw the launch of Bolivia's first artificial satellite, Tupac Katari 1, which began operating the following year to provide telecommunication services to rural Bolivia.
