Embraer

Embraer S.A. is a Brazilian multinational aerospace corporation that develops and manufactures aircraft and aviation systems and also provides leasing, equipment and technical support services. It is headquartered in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, with offices and operations in China, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore and the United States. Ozires Silva founded it on 19 August 1969 with Brazilian government funding, aiming to create a national champion for domestic aerospace technology. It was privatized in 1994 and became a public limited company in 2000, with shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange and in Brazil. It is best known for the ERJ and E-Jet airliners and for business jets such as the Phenom 300, and had delivered more than 9,000 aircraft by May 2024.
