SpaceMETA is a Brazilian group founded in 2010 to explore aerospace opportunities motivated by the Google Lunar X Prize competition. As of 2012 it was one of fewer than 30 active teams still competing for the prize, which offered 30 million dollars to the first team to land on the lunar surface and complete additional milestones, and it was the last team selected by the X Prize Foundation to enter the competition and the only one selected from Brazil.
