SatVu is a London-based company established in 2016 by Anthony Baker and Tobias Reinicke that develops and operates high resolution thermal imaging satellites capturing heat emissions from Earth at 3.5 metre resolution, day and night. Its planned HotSat constellation of mid wave infrared satellites is intended to provide persistent monitoring of operational activity, infrastructure performance, industrial processes and urban heat. The first satellite, HotSat-1, launched in June 2023 but suffered a technical anomaly and ceased operations in December 2023; HotSat-2 launched in March 2026, with a roadmap toward nine satellites and up to twenty revisits a day.
