Roketsan is a Turkish weapons manufacturer and defence contractor headquartered in Ankara, incorporated in 1988 by the Turkish Defense Industry Executive Committee to build an industrial base in missile technology for Turkey. Beyond its core missile business the company has expanded into satellite launch systems, including work on a domestic Space Launch System and a Micro-Satellite Launching System, and in August 2020 it established the Roketsan Satellite Launch, Space Systems and Advanced Technologies Research Center.
