ArmCosmos, formally known as the Armenian Space Agency, is the agency responsible for developing the commercial space sector of Armenia, established on 31 May 2013 and headquartered in Yerevan. Operating under the Ministry of Transport and Communication, it coordinates domestic space activities, identifies international opportunities and facilitates Armenian participation in space ventures on behalf of the government. Its creation followed diplomatic groundwork with the Russian federal space agency in 2012 and was announced by Gagik Grigorian, then head of the Ministry of Transport and Communication.
