Vietnam National Space Center, known as VNSC and originally organized as the Vietnam National Satellite Center until July 2017, was founded as a research center of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology on 16 September 2011 to implement space and satellite projects for the government of Vietnam, and it functions as the de facto national space agency of Vietnam. The center receives financial and technical assistance from Japan, with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency cited as a top partner.
