China Satellite Communications Co., Ltd., known as China Satcom, is a Chinese aerospace company that provides communications services by satellite. The company operates its satellite fleet under the ChinaSat brand and was a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Before being reincorporated as a limited company, it was known as China Satellite Communications Corporation. Through APT Satellite Holdings, a listed company jointly controlled with China Great Wall Industry Corporation, another CASC subsidiary, China Satcom also operated satellites under the Apstar brand.
