Royal Centre for Remote Sensing

The Royal Centre for Remote Sensing (CRTS) is a Moroccan public institution responsible for implementing Morocco's national remote sensing program and developing the country's space applications. Established by decree in December 1989 and headquartered in Rabat, it collects, processes and distributes Earth observation data, including satellite imagery from SPOT, Landsat, ERS and NOAA, to support agriculture, urban planning, environmental monitoring and other public policy needs. CRTS coordinates national remote sensing activities among ministries, universities and research organizations, and represents Morocco in international forums such as the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
