Guy Laliberté

Guy Laliberte is a Canadian entrepreneur, the founder of the entertainment company Cirque du Soleil, who became a private spaceflight participant in September 2009, flying to the International Space Station aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft as a paying passenger arranged through Space Adventures. During his roughly twelve-day trip he staged a widely publicized artistic and charitable event from orbit intended to raise awareness of global water issues.
