This dimension groups missions by the era in which they launched, from the first Sputnik and Explorer flights to today's missions. Wikipedia notes that "the first spaceflights began in the 1950s with the launches of the Soviet Sputnik satellites and American Explorer and Vanguard missions." Browsing by launch era lets a visitor compare missions flown in the same historical period.
